EDIT: They once operated A321s and withdrew those earlier frames from the fleet. Any reason why they withdrew them?.....

I don't know, it was a long time ago. ANA operated the A321-100 and is now getting A321-200s with much better performance.

Any reason why they withdrew them?..... I think they only got them through a merger, but they never intended to use them permanently. The new order marks the first time ANA deliberately commits to using Airbuses.

We have this thread about A321 with sharklets, are their any A321 still delivered or rather ordered without sharklets? I was about to raise the same issue. Does it still make sense to have threads dedicated to sharklet-equipped A320 family aircraft, when almost all aircraft in the family now have sharklets ? I suggest that we keep these threads going until year-end, then close them to keep all relevant information in A320 family or A320/A321/A319 and -neo threads.
