We have no idea what their plans are. We only know they have been leasing engines back to Rolls-Royce, but we don't know the lease duration.

I would like to clarify: "Runway Girl Network reports Hi Fly will take delivery of former 9V-SKA around mid-June this year. The second, -SKB, will arrive in the 2nd quarter of 2019 only"....... (While reading a380fanclub's post I was under feeling that Hi Fly would take only one, only SKB...)....... (my blood started to freeze until I dig into the article )

More importantly, in my opinion : 'wet-lease operator Hi Fly’s two Airbus A380s – the first of the type arriving into the aftermarket – will fly for first-tier legacy carriers, largely over the Atlantic'.
Runway Girl is disclosing that Hi-Fly has more than one customer, that these are first-tier legacy carriers intending to use the aircraft across the Atlantic ... BA comes to mind, but who else ?

I was surprised SKB will join Hi Fly only next year contrary to earlier reports. If it takes another year I would like to know why: SKB is in Tarbes for a few months.

According to ATDB there are 3 a380 for Hifly Malta: msn 3, 5 and 6. Msn 5 is currently undergoing conversion at LDE, while msn 3 is stored at LDE and msn 6 is stored at SIN.

The airline also conducted negotiations with the Dortmund Dr. Ing. Peters Group, which receives four A380s as leasing returns from Singapore Airlines. However, the ideas of the airline and the lessor were too far apart. According to ATDB there are 3 a380 for Hifly Malta: msn 3, 5 and 6...... Either Hi Fly is going to pay a lot more for those aircraft to the Dr. Peters group or ATDB has high hopes.
