So, Primera Air is said to own the above aircraft. Had they no time to sell-and-lease-back her ? Perhaps a lessor bowed out of the deal at the last minute ...

They cannot own it when they never took delivery of it Strictly speaking, you are right. Of course, the manufacturer retains property until delivery. What I mean is that the customer - whether the airline or a lessor - acquires exclusive rights on the aircraft through a deposit and progress payments. If the payments were made by Primera Air, then they may be lost, whereas if Primera Air had an agreement with a lessor that made all the payments, then the lessor will just postpone delivery until a new lessee is identified and gives its specifications for customisation (interiors, livery ...).
