I think as soon as the medias stop talking about the MAX, then the passengers will stop thinking about aircraft types, which they anyhow cannot tell apart. A bit harsh Philidor After all at least 40% can report how many engines the plane had that they flew on earlier that day.

What's the point ? the public pressure is far greater than FAA for certain Before grounding, how many pax refused to fly on MAX? Do you think things will change if FAA and Boeing roll out update in 1 month ? I think as soon as the medias stop talking about the MAX, then the passengers will stop thinking about aircraft types, which they anyhow cannot tell apart. Very true. Although once the MAX does fly again, it will be back in the media. Either way, people won't be able to avoid it in the future anyways.

"Boeing rolls out software patches 1 month after ET302 fatal crash" that sounds ensuring .....

Very true. Although once the MAX does fly again, it will be back in the media. Either way, people won't be able to avoid it in the future anyways. Once back in the air, there will be a period when the media will report every single setback experienced by the MAX, even if it is something pretty minor and not unique to the MAX. And of course, the commentary will always make a mention of the current problems. It's how the media works.

One thing here I do believe we do agree is - Boeing has a HUGE problem which he made himself without any exteranl influence - only its own doing ! And is not yet ready to admit it - but eventually it will do so - or the problems will not get solved.
I do not believe in the scenario described by Fabien - Boeing will survive...... but I do believe that FAA will have very changed personel and processes - there is no doubt about that.

This is just downright depressing... Hmmm, I think it's reassuring.
