Excellent, that's just another one. Let's see who follows. Hmm ... All ! Who would take delivery while the ban is effective ? Noy even with a huge discount ...

From my point of view it doesn't make sense to cancel MAX orders now for any airline. There are no slots available for any significant numbers of new other frames of this category and the cost (and risks as in accident risk) of unplanned changing a fleet on short notice are enormous.
And all this while we do not clearly see yet what actually happened and what is needed to rectify things.
I understand the public pressure airlines feel now but some cold blood and pragmatism is what we need the most now. We need to understand what happened first and then prevent it from happening again. Whatever that might take.

Oh ! I thought existing MAX simulators - at least those provided to customers like ET - couldn't be used to train pilots to react to MCAS activation (see the specific ET accident thread). Are we now about to learn that MCAS-training-capable simulators existed and were not supplied ? Yes Boeing owned 737MAX simulators are able to provide MCAS experience, 737MAX supplied to customers are not.

Do you think things will change if FAA and Boeing roll out update in 1 month ?

Do you think things will change if FAA and Boeing roll out update in 1 month ? I think as soon as the medias stop talking about the MAX, then the passengers will stop thinking about aircraft types, which they anyhow cannot tell apart.
