if any one focus in the photo, the A380 with the old Expo 2020 sticker, I think EOP the only one still with this sticker!! Correct. After checking I found EOP still had the Expo 2020 decal with blue when she was spotted early July in London, as shown on Flightradar.

This is what Emirates said to me in reply to my question:
“Incident happened on 20 August. Last Tuesday.”
Emirates spokesperson: "We confirm there was an incident when our engineering team was performing a routine A-check on one of our A380s in the hangar. We are investigating the cause internally. All our employees are safe and unhurt. Safety is our number one priority, and we follow stringent safety and technical standards." - ends

I think EDN and EOP which was damaged during maintenance work in DXB. EDN. Yeah, why not?? As good a choice as any other one out of a possible 112

I as @rschuur_aero on behalf of @airinsight was invited to roundtable with Sir Tim Clark today. He confirmed 2 A380’s are in the process of being decommissioned according to a pre-planned plan. He didn’t specify which ones and I had to tell him how many A380’s he has currently in storage... Retirement depends on flight hours and lease contract. A380-fleet to grow to max 115, before coming down to 90-100. Officially the deal for 162 is still on until the order for A330neo’s/A350’s is confirmed, more about that in the story on Airinsight. Clark said the A380’s won’t get the enclosed First Class suites from the 777, but will have Premium Economy from November. And EOP will be fixed... airinsight.com/?p=27294

This looks however like the real beginning of the real end of the A380. Really surprizing to me that it has come to this although I can't help feeling that one day ...!

The list on this board is not updated with the return of EDN to DXB .
