Would a small commitment for only 20 frames be enough to convince AB to adapt the last 25 aircraft in to the plus model. They would surely expect a big commitment to the program before they would entertain this. However, we will see what happens. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

I think Airbus must start the ivestigation and certifigation in an upgarded version shortly that it will be available soon enough for 2019/2020. But I can't believe it that Airbus will start without an real order from other airlines. We saw some rumors in the last 6 months that Airbus is talking with some pottential new customer, but I miss any news for that. Time will tell us, I think we must wait.

The most obvious prospect is a deal with EK to upgrade all existing unfilled orders + the purchase of some more frames. I also believe in a SQ order to continue to replace its present fleet. Don't know about possible Qantas replacement prospects.

I asked a very senior executive who looks after the intl side of the airline last year if they were interested in an A380neo and he quite quickly responded 'no'. Also he was saying they intend on keeping the aircraft for a 20 year period (from when they were delivered) so a replacement won't be needed for around another 10 years.

At least, if they intend to keep the aircraft for twenty years, they must perform well.

True although Qantas does tend to keep all their aircraft for around 20 year periods compared to some of the Asian or Middle Eastern airlines who retire aircraft a number of years earlier. (Sorry for taking this discussion off topic)

Not sure that QF will replace their A380s with A380s, same as for SQ.....

The 5 might be MSN244, MSN247, MSN242, MSN241 and MSN236, they are all the EK that are supposed to be in OF right now at XFW... How many after that for the end of 2017, and in 2018?..... Will MSN167 and MSN162 still be delivered as planned in 2017-Q4?.... Oups I was wrong, MSN247 is for SIA..... And now we do have MSN242 in storage too...... 5 frames then might be MSN241, MSN244, MSN236, MSN167 and MSN162?..... I have doubts about MSN236 though, now in its 23rd week of OF, might well be in storage too?.....
