Swiss confirms on social media they're getting A350 from 2025, as an A340 replacement. No press release yet, but I do believe it is quite possible these aircraft comes for Lufthansa Groups existing orderbook?

No press release yet, but I do believe it is quite possible these aircraft comes for Lufthansa Groups existing orderbook? read an article this past weekend about them ordering the A350. The article also spoke about them offloading their current "four radiators" to Edelweiss. unfortunately, I read this on my phone and can not find the link to post here.. newsbeezer.com/switzerlandeng/replacement-for-a340-and-a330-swiss-is-about-to-order-airbus-a350/I was able to copy the url.

Also a confirmation the aircraft are coming from Lufthansa's orderbook, so no additional order from Airbus

CH Aviation on Swiss getting 5 A350s from Lufthansa's order Quote - "Swiss (LX, Zurich) has confirmed that it will take five out of the twenty-five A350-900s ordered by its parent Lufthansa Group, with deliveries expected to begin in 2025. Switzerland's flag carrier said that the five A350s would gradually replace all remaining A340-300s. The ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows that the five quadjets are 19.2 years old on average and are owned by the airline." Wow, 242 seats in total, F3C45W38Y156 - the middle F seat is particularly interesting, looks like a 2-people suite but they counted as one F seat. Am I right to think this is the lowest total seat number on a normal (not VIP or ULR) A359? I think the current lowest is Singapore's long haul configuration with 253 seats (C42W24Y187).

Shows how to make from a big airplane, a small airplane. 253 seats, that's what some airliners put in a 321neo
