The discussion about deffered cost does again has again the same failures. So again: Deffered cost= real cost - planned cost Where in this very simple formula do you see price, profit or anything else you are talking about? Deffered cost do not change by price, profit does not change! This is my understanding from deferred production cost which means profit per plane > avg profit for the accounting purpose --> deferred balanced (sum of Deferred Production Cost, Unamortized Tooling & Other Non-Recurring Cost balances) decreases so it should be profit related as the figure is related to the assumed profit seekingalpha.com/article/4190295-boeing-787-going-zero

Up to that the amount of decreasing of the sum of the deffered costs differs significantly from frame to frame ...! i.e. all this is a game to pretend to look nice while the reality is not so rosy

Surely this is what Airbus must avoid as a long-term strategy on their new models just to attract sales. There must be a particular point where discounting becomes a self-inflicted wound.
