Everyone knows Boeing are over producing the 787s, the backlog is getting eaten up very quickly ! Quote CEO Muilenberg - "He also addressed the current tensions in world trade and their impact on Boeing. Muilenburg said that the lack of a trade deal between the U.S. and China is creating a risk to Boeing’s widebody jet production schedule. “We have reserved slots in the 787 and 777 production for Chinese orders,” he said. “There is a dependency there on Chinese orders coming through.”

Why would China order more Boeing jet during a trade war?
He seems very optimistic about the situation, more than most of Chinese I’ve met.
I am going to China tomorrow, I’ve only heard rumour on new A350 orders recently. Even the A330neo rumour has gone.

The order will contains 777X and 787

The ongoing spat between the USA and China is being used to mask the reality that Boeing has been over-producing the 787. The rate of 14 per month is obviously unsustainable.
