This is the mid-fuselage section. It arrived from Spirit in the US and will be further assembled in Saint-Nazaire before going to the assembly line in Toulouse.

Leeham's number (13/month) matches the alleged maximum possible wing production (I don't remember where this number comes from, but I certainly read it more than once).

Airbus stated during its investors day that 12 frames (up to MSN 18) now are in FAL. a380.boards.net/thread/867/a350-msn18-ay1On the one hand, this is excellent news, on the other hand it shows that we are struggling to have timely reports (or pictures) about entries into FAL. I guess it's a consequence of Airbus having built new Beluga hangars ..

MSN19 is arriving in the FAL right now. The FAL will close over three days, so we won't see MSN20 before January.

The A350 production ramp-up is in progress, but Airbus is lacking Station 20 (= cabin fit) space. They already use the L70 building at the A380 site, now two big outdoor tents are being built at the A380 site to accommodate two more A350s. If you wonder how the tent might look like, think about this: www.flickr.com/photos/38619847@N05/5885964603

Thank you, XWB. That's very interesting news. I don't know whether we should be happy that production is actually ramping up, or concerned that fitting out seems to take more time (and floor space) than expected ...
