If I could afford my own business jet, I doubt I would get aboard an ARJ 21 ...

Chengdu Airlines took delivery of an ARJ21 today, B-604F. I guess perfect timing for ARJ operators to take delivery this time: people won't doubt why they only fly one domestic round trip every day

I thought Air China wouldn't fly them themself, but use a subsidiary with another brand? China Eastern is setting up a separate subsidiary, converting their ex-business jet unit to become a sub-company that operates ARJ21. Air China has established a complete separate fleet solely operate the ARJ21, similar to how they operate their B747, B767, A330, but different from A320/B737 those are more hub based operation. So dedicated pilots and mechanics, and centralised operation nationwide. It looks like the ARJ21s is more likely to operate for Air China Inner Mongolia and also in north west of China - short haul with small passenger number routes. But we won't be surprised if Air China decide to use it on business routes like Shanghai to Beijing, for showcase purpose. Air China is expecting to accept 3 ARJ21 this year, and 6 more in 2021.
