SAA wants to retire all a340-300 and a340-600 until 2021 I hope they have moderate expectations about the sale of that fleet ...

Virgin Atlantic ended a340-600 operations. Virgin Atlantic has withdrawn their last 3 A340-600's with immediate effect due to the coronavirus outbreak. Last commercial flight was VS412 from Lagos that landed at LHR yesterday afternoon (Sunday) operated by G-VFIT. G-VFIT "Dancing Queen" is about to depart Heathrow for the last time; ferry-flight to Gatwick: www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/g-vfit#2420a846

With the reservation/demand down 40-50% at the moment, it is inevitable. Even the New York route have cut on flight number. Assuming it is too late to negotiate/delay the delivery of the next three A350s MSN71/415/426, we might see 2 B747 (VAST and VXLG) and 4 A332 leaving as well or at least been stored.

According to Skyliner, SAS is sending LN-RKF, one of their A340-300 to the scrapper. 2001 vintage, so got 18,5 years with SAS
