The Singapore Air Show takes place on a site separate from Changi commercial airport and it is located next to the military area Changi airbase (east) with it's own runway. It's not that easy to get back and forth. I think it might even need to fly the short distance. The trade show is on the front left corner (halls) and more to the left outside of the picture: photos.wikimapia.org/p/00/02/96/61/45_big.jpg

The Changi Coast Road runs in between and I haven't seen a flyover for planes the last time I drove down this road.

Have a look goo.gl/maps/wWyTzProbably they just close the road while the plane is crossing.

I am not sure if I understand you correctly... Changi Aiport (the civil airport) has 2 active runways. The so-called third runway was supposedly built for future expansion of the airport, but is now used by the military and for the air show. Google maps (if it is up to date) confirms that currently there is no link between the civil airport and the third runway. I assume that once the third runway is supposed to be part of the civil airport, Changi Coast Road will be closed and re-routed, and the runway will be linked to the current civil airport.

Well the third runway is to the east of int. airport - the Changi air-base to the west ? There is connection to the base - There is no connection to the third runway. So still a bit unclear.

Changi commercial airport has two runways. Changi airbase, right to the east of it, has another third parallel runway. Next to the airbase is the site of the Singapore Airshow with a huge apron and halls.

Well, now I see what S543 means. On Google maps Changi Air Base is indicated to the west of the commercial airport.
I don't know if that is the old and now abonded air base, or a second Changi Air Base. But the main air base (again, to the best of my knowledge) is next to the third runway.

Singapore Changi (the commercial airport) has two runways: 02L/20R and 02C/20C. The third runway to the east is 02R/20L. It is at this time not connected to the commercial part of Changi. It seems the intention is to do so in the future, because on Google Maps/Earth you can clearly see hi-speed exits to the west (i.e. Changi Commercial airport). I am pretty sure Singapore will work out something to keep the Changi Coast Road open, a few underpasses will settle all.....

There exists military facilities west of the international airport Changi Air Base (West) where the tankers and some maritime patrol aircraft are based, with taxiways connected to the international airport. More military facilities are at the east of the international airport not (yet?) connected via taxiways at Changi Air Base (East) . The Singapore airshow takes place near the east airbase.

Isn't better to create a new thread maybe called Singapore Airshow 2014 and we can discuss its different runway instead of using A350 test flight thread?
