The latest production list updates seem to show that MSNs 214 and 215 have been held back from entering production. Good decision by Airbus as they shouldn’t carry on building frames at a rate higher than QR will take them.

Those MSNs are out of sequence just like most other QR MSN's previously. We had similar discussions about MSNs 161, 163 and 172, for example.

Ouch, only 4 -1000s this year, as CX is assumed to take delivery of double that number (8)!.....

Baker seems to speak of: "the airline expected to receive four of the twin-engined jets this year. contractually and I am confident that Airbus will deliver them to us," That is rather convoluted. The financial year at Qatar finishes in March? Mjoelnir rightly points out how unclear QR's words are. In a recent past, when they said 'this year', they meant 'before the end of March'. I doubt this is the same case, though ...

It is both unclear what this year means, calendar or financial, and why he talks about contractual. 4 frames could be contractual delivered before end of march, that would mean without flying home. If Q-suites are the delay, than that would be a Qatar rather than Airbus problem and perhaps Qatar has to take the frames.

Those aircaft would need some level of completion though. Some of those 4 A350s are still in storage and months away from completion.
