I think we could easily try the a380.boards.net, if ever any issue with Airbus (which I doubt, indeed) another resort could be changing the name again in something that would more please Airbus and not jeopardize the forum. For a letter to Airbus, I don't think it would be necessary, but anyways I don't think Airbus could find any problem in a a380.boards.net... Also changing the URL as Linie 9 was mentioning, could also just be highly greatful to all of us here, in the way of gathering more spotters to the forum thus exchanging more info/photos, and also be advertised WAY more easily to the public, I am thinking of TLS-official tours...: when I did the FAL tour in December 2009, it was clearly mentioned by the tour guide twice or thrice, to have a look online at a380production.com, and this time last month when I did the FAL tour, both guides had never heard of doubledecker.boards.net, though it was already set for a year already.... If we change the name i would prefer a380.boards.net. But i do not think it is really necessary, because we have so much informations related to the A380 that a google search comes quick to us.
We should not do a mix in the name with the A350 because of the lenght. A whats happend with the legal situatiuon we will see.
At the end i will vote for a change of the name, just for more clarification.

I am not so sure it is a good idea. If you try to google our terms you get there quickly. We are interested in A350 in a similar way like in A380, than there are other AB planes closely watched, various Boeings and other. I personally do not think that name change will bring on board a single spotter, since those interested know about this board for sure ! Only serious matter is the length of the name. Some serious A350 enthusiast like bloga350 could be offended to watch A380.xxxx I voted "I do not care" but as I think about it I might believe best would be to let the name as is. I would be happier with the name: " A3X". It describes better all our interests and is shorter ! The google will find it anyway since it scans the inside, as I do not think that it is too important to be on TOP of google list. Why ?

I am not so sure it is a good idea. If you try to google our terms you get there quickly. ... IF you know them. Try to find us via Google without only a380 ... no chance on first ff page. a380.boards.net will lead to page one because of the dot after a380. Fully matched.

If using the A380 name would be an issue for Airbus, why are there other sites using the same abbreviation, apparently without any problems? Think of: a380flights.net/www.flya380.net/en/routesAnd there are probably a few more. So I am having a hard time believing that Airbus would have any issues with a forum like ours using the name A380. Personally, I have had problems finding the right URL when working on different computers or mobile devices. Hence, I am in favor of changing the name to the most simple and shortest option, and using A380 in the URL.

How did you get such a smilie ? I am jealous ! , it's just a gif picture attachment to say a big "YUP!". I feel like the board's own smileys are not strong enough sometimes.
