MSN 12 has not been painted yet. Cabin is currently being installed in S20.
Airbus doesn't always do things in sequence. The paint hangar was occupied when MSN 12 emerged from rework so they decided to start cabin fit instead. You do not want to have an airframe sitting idle on the tarmac.
That information is not correct, MSN 21 is still undergoing rework and has not been painted yet.
MSN 23 is next to enter paint.

Engines and cabin are installed simultaneously in S20. However, MSN 12 might be an exception and could have its engines attached after paint (cabin fit => paint => engine fit).

I try to summarize the status of the MSN<=20 in the order acc planned delivery: VN1 MSN14 DC, del. Jun QR5 MSN8 painted engine attach, del. Jul VN2 MSN15 painted engine attach, del. Jul QR6 MSN11 painted engine attach, del. Aug VN3 MSN16 painted engine attach, del. Aug AY1 MSN18 painted engine attach, del. Sep unclear, does anyone know the paint status? VN4 MSN17 QR7 MSN12 QR8 MSN13 AY2 MSN19 AY3 MSN 20 Anyway as we see according to predictions from JUNE - MSNs 8,15,11,16 - should have been now out - which is not the case. So I do wonder if we will see some acceleration in the speed those birds go out ? Obviously the rework was more tedious and time consuming than expected. Then next batch should be smoother much less rework involved, so let's hope .... |

If MSN18 is doing a CAF now, having than bypassed both MSN8 and MSN11, the question becomes, what is the matter with Qatar?
Or perhaps Airbus is pushing the "new" users of the A350?
