I understand this new configuration will suit India perfectly, but my question is: will this frames be built in a LR or ULR vision? In other words, ok 615 seats, but crew rest area? Flights to India will surely require a LR configuration, but maybe eqquipping some frames with crew rest areas may allow EK to fly other destinations to which F class is poorly sold. Ciao AOIspotter

I don't know whether EK needs a two-class ULH configuration, but I doubt it.

I believe these 2 class birds will be LR versions and will be used on flights to MNL, CGK, DAC and CAN.
Flights to Indian destinations such DEL, BOM, MAA and BLR have a lot of first class passengers.

I don't know whether EK needs a two-class ULH configuration, but I doubt it. None of the EK two-class 777s has a crew rest area, so I expect the same thing will apply to the 2-class A380s.

Another question is whether it will be able to differenciate from the outside. I.e, LR vs ULR by counting number of windows

After the first batch of four the next ones will be A6-EOX and EOY, for delivery in 2016.

That makes six two-class A380's. Will be interesting to see where EK will deploy these airframes.

These would be MSN208 and MSN209, thanks alfamale! Could these frame be deployed to any LR destination randomly (as other airlines choose aircraft randomly) or they would necessarily have to be used on set routes all the time?..... (they could probably be switched with LR frames that have no crew-area neither?.....)

Could these frames be deployed to any LR destination randomly (as other airlines choose aircraft randomly) or they would necessarily have to be used on set routes all the time? I don't think EK would bother to manage two different configurations if it was not to match equipment and routes as closely as possible.
