Will probably fly to Teruel for storage, like that other Libyan A330. Okay, but why the Libyan registration? Can't imagine LAA taking delivery, only to put it in storage....

Okay, but why the Libyan registration? Can't imagine LAA taking delivery, only to put it in storage.... If it is delivered, it is paid in full and the ownership of the asset has been transferred to Libyan airlines and therefore cannot bear Airbus's test registration. Maybe they can lease it out or sell it later if conditions do not improve.

I believe it was quite simple - AB needs to get it's money i.e. to officially deliver the frame - according to contract the customer must take the plane - i.e. probably the pressure from AB for the delayed delivery was significant and it could have been cheaper to accept the plane than to pay penalty for not taking the plane ?

Let's come with comparison to the previous year as always...
February 2015
A32fam 37 (37) A319: 1 (3) A320: 22 (22) A321: 14 (12)
A33x: 8 (6) A330-200: 4 (1) A330-200F: 1 (0) A330-300: 3 (5)
A380: 1 (1)
YTD 2015 (YTD 2014) A32x: 67 (66) A318: 0 (1) A319: 5 (5) A320: 39 (43) A321: 23 (18) A33x: 13 (15) A330-200: 5 (4) A330-200F: 1 (0) A330-300: 7 (11) A380: 2 (2)
Similar to last year performance - step to more A321.... Already 2 less A330.

Just a point of note. Airbus's February end summary shows that a total of 8,967 aircraft have been delivered. So, this month, we'll probably see the 9,000 th delivery. Watch out for stickers! The 8,000 th aircraft was an Air Asia A320 (PK-AZF) delivered in August 2013 and sports an "8,000 th Airbus" sticker. www.planespotters.net/Aviation_Photos/photo.show?id=495813

Has anyone noticed that the Airbus registrations on Skyliner seem to be pretty low of late? Are we expecting a low month for Airbus or has there been some public holidays?
Normally the widebodies are on page 2 but nearly all the ATRs are on page 1.
PS I'm still on for 3-5 A380s this month (though the post on Ethiad looks like they're going to make it 3 or 4) - come on LH#14!!

I have counted 24 A320 (MSN6476 was already counted in Feb, but dl-flight on mar 2nd), 1 A330, 1, A350, 2 A380 makes 28 frames this month so far. So still 5 till 9000th. 2 far are for me suspicious at the moment. MSN 1604 A330 Sri Lankan was several times shown as to be delivered by skyliner. MSN 6507 A320 N640K Spirit shows up in FR24 with final registration 2 days ago, but no dl-flight so far.
