Vietnam Airlines posted these graphics of their A350 interiors on their facebook page which interestingly show the aircraft with the business class seat featured on their 787s instead of the staggered design which is installed on their first A350 (a seat similar to the one on EK's A380s). The design of the windows and overhead bins though clearly shows that the graphic is of the A350. It's already known that VN will have 2 premium economy configs (one with 9 abreast and another with 8 abreast) so I'm thinking that the aircraft with an 8 abreast premium economy config will also feature the business class featured on the 787. As suggested earlier in this thread, these differences in config might be due to the fact that 2 aircraft are leased from Aercap and 2 aircraft from CIT. For reference, this is the seat fitted on their 1st A350.

Smart move. Both Vietnam and Vietnam Airlines look quite promising to me. Right - but I am confused at the strategy of this size airline to purchase early both B787 and A350. It seems to me too bold a move. If QR makes it or if AA or LH or TK etc.... would do such a think I would understand it better.

They want to seriously grow their hard currency incoming tourist traffic. Buying from both manufacturers might help them with new global traffic rights...They seem to be able to handle their double fleet renewal.
