It's interesting how the wording of the press release seems to suggest that non stop flights to the US can only happen on the 10 A350s that they just ordered (or rather signed as a MoU) yet it doesn't mention whether the aircraft are a HGW or a ULR variant.

This is no more than a MoU. The customer has a lot of time to make up its mind.

Firming up their A350 order while partly upsizing to the A35K would be consistent but who knows, they may have to order from Boeing to get US routes.
