Shorts 330 crash crew had history of undisciplined landings 28 September, 2019 SOURCE: FlightGlobal.com BY: David Kaminski-Morrow www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/shorts-330-crash-crew-had-history-of-undisciplined-l-461152/US investigators probing a fatal landing accident involving a Shorts 330 freighter have determined that the crew had a history of intentional procedural non-compliance during approach, including late turns, high descent rates and excessive manoeuvring...Information released earlier by the inquiry indicated that the first officer had previously expressed concerns – in text messages to friends – about the captain's manner and flying abilities, including apparent discomfort and poor performance when flying in instrument conditions. She described one particular incident in a snowstorm, four months earlier, as "the biggest scare of my life"...Intentional non-compliance with procedures is a "long-standing concern" of the NTSB, says the investigation authority, but Air Cargo Carriers had no formal safety and oversight programme to assess compliance with operating procedures or to monitor pilots with performance issues.
The murky unregulated side of US cargo operations. Does this apply in other jurisdictions do we know? The poor lady seemed abandoned by H&S to her fate.

EasyJet G-UZHB A320NEO I think ? Has been damaged at LGW during loading ? I know this as my partners sister is stuck on it and awaiting deboarding after they remove the bags first, the captain said they have to remove the bags first otherwise the aircraft might tip up 😟

German inquiry details A321's close brush with glider 11 October, 2019 SOURCE: FlightGlobal.com BY: David Kaminski-Morrow London www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/german-inquiry-details-a321s-close-brush-with-glide-461438/German investigators have released preliminary details of a serious airprox incident in which an Airbus A321 passed close to a glider while descending towards Hamburg...(the Investigation Authority) BFU says the encounter took place in Class E airspace, which is shared by traffic operating under visual and instrument flight rules. There was good visibility with no significant cloud below 5,000ft, and the sun was low in the west at the time of the incident. BFU says there is a transponder requirement only for powered aircraft above 5,000ft.
Seems crazy that this is the rule. Presumably even a could a collision with a glider and an A350 at that speed could disable / bring both down. As with many issues, it takes an external change to stimulate internal change consideration.

I have heard that the B52s at Fairford have not been active since Saturday 26th October 2019. After a bit of digging (pun intended) I hear a large piece fell off one and landed ! In Someone's garden !
