You would have thought a flight from Miami to Doha would need the full runway length ? Qatar Airways Boeing 777-3DZER (A7-BAC) suffered an accident Miami International Airport, FL (MIA), USA 15 Sep. 2015 aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20150915-1B777s seem to be having a few mishaps recently, after the incident free early years.

I don't understand what happened : if you abort takeoff, your landing gear is down, not up ... How did they find themselves in a gear-up situation ? ... Unless of course some emergency situation developped after take off.

I think ASN could be right, the Dash 8 was not heavily loaded, and was not flying that far. So short take off, gear up, oh sh*t problem, put it straight straight down again rather than going round and no time to lower gear ? The runway is 2km long.
What we need is one of those FR24 altitude / speed / time graphs how do we get one ?
