Awesome looking plane.
Quick question, what's the metallic-looking strip on the leading edge of the vertical stabiliser for? Is it purely aesthetic? A quick picture hunt seems to suggest that other Airbus planes don't have it, and have fully painted tails, whereas Boeings seem to have it.

Thanks, VFR Most of the fin is made of CFRP but this material disturb electromagnic waves The part your are talking about has the HF antenna behind,so this part of the fin is different,probably GFRP Same for the top tip with the vor antenna
