According to User Starbucks on Airliners.net, the first A320neo for Lufthansa should have it's EIS on the 10th January, so delivery seems immediant:

To me this sounds like an old plan for the original pre-year-end delivery. It will take some days to integrate any new type, prepare the cabin for service with labels and such, to do some staff training, media event and such after delivery and before EIS. The required time is not enough even if they should handover it today.

The media event was planned for the 2nd A320neo.

Do you mean some event at Airbus XFW or one at LH Frankfurt?

LH Frankfurt.
Delivery of the first A320neo would be 'a low key event'.
