AirAsia (Group) A330neos ...................................... MSN 1901 Thai AirAsiaX F-WWYG HS-XJA [delivered 31-08-2019] (#2) MSN 1903 Thai AirAsiaX F-WWYL HS-XJB [delivered 10-08-2019] (#1) MSN 1970 AirAsiaX F-WWYR (NTU, to Cebu Pacific) MSN 1972 AirAsiaX F-WWCS (NTU, to Condor) ...................................... According to this article www.themalaymailonline.com/money/article/airasia-x-plans-to-sign-major-airbus-plane-order-this-week Air Asia will place a major order this week, possibly for the Airbus A330. I guess that we can also expect some A350 orders XWB ?

Air Asia ordering A330s is no surprise. The questions are :
- How many more are they taking ? - Which version did they chose ? Are they interested in a regional version or in a high gross weight version ? - ... Unless you want to believe that they are set to be the launch customer of a NEO version ... (Christmas is coming soon !)

Per media reports, the order is for AirAsia X, the long-haul product of AirAsia. Based on this information, I expect an order for the high gross weight A330.

I was just about to post it as well...but they don't say anything about a high gross version. Or wait Flightglobal says the order includes the latest longer range version (is that the high gross?). And a further 6 frames will be leased from ILFC.

That means: - MSN 1619 delivery due next month (originally due in May 2015) - MSN 1646 and 1659 delivery due March 2016 (originally due in July and September 2015) - MSN 1666, 1670 and 1674 are in final assembly and will become white tails - MSN 17xx are probably in pre-FAL already
