guys, i know there are more than a fair share of opinions out there regarding QR. doesn't this support the thought that QR has finance issues. He's screaming about the Engine issues, but wants to convert and take deliveries in 2018..... kinda odd...then again we are talking about U-turn Al.

Qatar plans to go "A321LR only" for the 80 (??) Neos on order. Did no one told AAB that he has just 46 on order? Did he forget he canceled 4? So even with options it is only 76. Engine manufactor is now unclear again. What did he told last month? If he is really meaning the A321LR and not just the standard A321neo, he can shift the delivery quite a good time. mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSL5N1EV2DF

The Reuters piece is not new, it is just an update of the several-weeks-old previous version, as shown by "UPDATE 1" and "(Adds context, quotes)" before the text. The wording is somewhat different in the new version, especially as regards the now uncertain engine supplier change.
In my opinion, when talking to journalists, AAB actually was negociating in public with Airbus.

Let's discuss something more understandable:
Who is going to be the Launch customer of the 321neo ? QR is not going to be the one !

I do believe there is from political (business) reasons not going to be any serious statement. Anyway it is not too long in the future.

Hawaiian is not the first customer. The production list is as follows:
- MSN 7428: A321-271N, Qatar Airways - MSN 7486: A321-271N, SriLankan Airlines - MSN 7501: A321-271N, Qatar Airways - MSN 7530: A321-271N, China Southern Airlines - MSN 7535: A321-271N, SriLankan Airlines - MSN 7548: A321-271N, China Southern Airlines - MSN 7567: A321-271N, Air Astana - MSN 7589: A321-253N, Virgin America - MSN 7610: A321-271N, Qatar Airways - MSN 7634: A321-271N, Air Astana

Until know Akbar Al Baker does not known which engine he will take for the A321NEO and maybe he want to swap the Order again and now then the A330NEO .

Then SriLankan or China Southern will become the first customer.
