2026 9x

Airbus for sure will not any problems with placement of these early slots for a321neo. For example Delta will definitely benefit with accelerated or additional deliveries as their 70 options for a321neo are only for 2028-2030 timeframe.

This "A350-skin"-conflict pretty much escalated to some unusual scale. There must be more behind it like several long time disputes. It feels like Airbus signals "enough is enough" even to this top customer.
As the topic had become more quiet over the holidays I had assumed that there is some quiet negotiation going on settling it gentlemen-style. Instead we wake up to the news it got even hotter. It might reach government level next. Or it will be hugs and all smiles and big new orders and friendship.

Airbus can't allocate valuable early delivery slots for the in-demand A321neo plane to other airlines until April 2022: First delivery for QR was planned not in 2022, but in February 2023 with planes due to be delivered at a rate of six a year, it follows
that whole contract was to be realized in 2023-2030 timeframe.

QR wants to reinstate an order for 50 a321neo: "Qatar also asked the division of London's High Court to order Airbus not to try resell the A321neos, which are in high demand. Airbus is sold out until 2028 on that model and Qatar would otherwise face "severe disruption," it said."
