The alternative is CFM, but their backlog is so large that Qatar won't get any LEAP engines before 2020.

I am a little scared by what is said about the fix, at first it was said to be within one month (implementation by Jan-Feb), then I think it was said to be ready by Q1 and now it is said to be available by mid-year?.......

I am a little scared by what is said about the fix, at first it was said to be within one month (implementation by Jan-Feb), then I think it was said to be ready by Q1 and now it is said to be available by mid-year?....... The cooling fix is available. Al Baker was talking about 'issues' (plural, thus other issues). He probably refers to the software issues, which affects dispatch reliability. Based on feedback from Lufthansa, the cockpit throws a lot of software errors.
