That was a separate event, the magnetic chip detector caution didn't occur on 902 until the afternoon of Friday Dec 16, which happened 48 hours after 903's event and that aircraft (903) is still in service flying revenue.

N902NK is now out for service for a left engine replacement, similar to what happened to N901NK last month, time of repair is unknown due to engine supply constraints. Having to change one engine on two recently delivered aircraft is extremely unusual and would point to serious trouble. Yet, the airline has not discontinued deliveries. Could it be just a check ?

Those 5 aircraft are all leased, their own NEOs aren't due till 2018.

Time of repair is unknown due to engine supply constraints. I am sure P&W is producing enough spare parts to repair an engine. I don't think there is such a shortage of parts that repairs have to be delayed.

Are Spirit doing something with their aircraft that the other NEO PW operators are not ? Seems odd they get all the problems ! and we have not heard of problems from other airlines !

There maybe something happened in background. For 2016, PW should have deliver 150 engines, which enough for 75 aircrafts, but up until now only 34 delivered and 4 undergo flight test, the number is too far off. Probably a lot of it use as replacement engine?

Some went to Embraer for E2-Jets and some to Bombardier for the C series.

NK seems to have limited in-house maintenance capacity. Could it be that they underestimated the prerequisites to introduce this new sub-type ?
