Ohh, good thing they found the problem like this. Inflight deployment of thrust reverser can have catastrophic consequences, think of Lauda Air Flight 004...

I think you're right, it is a customer option. Not that I will be buying a a350, just curious to know how much the camera option would cost. I personally would prefer to have the camera mounted on the belly instead of the tail. It's more entertaining to watch the wheels touching down the runway.

The A380, at least on Korean Air, has 3. Tail, Nose Wheel and Belly (pointing straight down).
