Increase in narrow body deliveries, especially A321 we are likely to see an record end of the year. Decrease in wide body deliveries, the increase in A350 deliveries does not match the decrease in A330 deliveries.

The Orders & Deliveries page on Airbus' website also shows 9982 total deliveries, so 18 more to go till 10000 as of the end of September. A quick look at skyliner-aviation and counting the delivery flights starting in TLS/XFW/BFM/TSN I count 11 deliveries this month already. 8x A320 family (2x neo, 1x Mobile delivery included) 1x A330 for Saudia 1x A350 for LATAM 1x A380 for Emirates (who else? )

Nit picking, MSN 56 was number 9993, 9994 or 9995, the real number 10000th was any of the one delivered at the 19th Oct. (Azul, Frontier or Vueling). :-)

Robert Wall and the WSJ are playing their favorite tune again : once more, Airbus is said to be 'procrastinating', an unsuitable characterization for production problems, but a choice of words that advances an agenda of bashing Europe and its supposed taste for vacations. Of course, no mention is made of the difficulty of introducing two new aircraft types at the same time, of engine manufacturers' problems, of suppliers' ramp up issues, of part shortage ... That would have forced the WSJ to acknowledge that production trouble is nothing specifically European ...
