So the intended Iranian A380 orders (12) are only "optional" now and can be transfered into any other type afterwards if I understand Iran's deputy minister of transportation correct? Possible bad news for the A380?

Is Azores' order new, or is changing from A320neo to A321neo ? EDIT : from the wording of Airbus' release (posted by jkkw in the A321neoLR thread) the aircraft might be sourced from a lessor, though Leahy does say he is 'very excited about this order'. Here's your answer: Press Release

Does-it mean that Iran has firmed its order ? Or that they reconfirmed that they intend to do so ? I don't see any press release for the moment.

It was some sort of MoU only - it is not yet in the xls. If true we will know for sure in the next one.
I am sure AB will make an announcement when approved.

I am sure AB will make an announcement when approved. Iran, not Airbus, will make the first official announcement. The customer always has priority in communication. Airbus' release will follow.
