Emirates today has revised planned operational aircraft for Dubai – Washington Dulles route starting 27MAR16, which sees the launch of 3-class Airbus A380 service. The A380 is to operate on daily basis, replacing the 777-300ER. At time this post goes to press, operational aircraft in schedule listing has been updated to A380, however inventory listing still displays 777-300ER at present time, which will be adjusted soon.

IAD would be then the current only city in the world to receive A380 service from 3 different operators... (all other cities served by more than one operator would have either 2 either 4 and more different operators ).
Emirates today (14JAN16) has announced planned capacity increase for Dubai – Perth route, as 2 daily service moves to all-A380 operation. EK424/425 will see 3-class A380 operating from 01AUG16 (DXB departure), replacing 777-300ER. This has been announced by the airline earlier in the day, but did not reflect in the GDS until after 0930hrs GMT.
