Yes I'd mentioned it but the free publicity is great for BHX. It will be my nearest airport with an A380 service. Far preferable to struggling to and within Heathrow. The upgrade from one of the three daily B777s to Dubai may have been stimulated by Qatar starting a BHX-Doha B787 service later this month.

I'm almost tempted to call AKL mini Dubai! What on earth is EK doing with all those A380s down there in AKL??? This is a country where sheep vastly outnumber the people! Colonising the world, one airport at a time? On a more series note, EK (and all foreign carriers flying trans Tasman) are allow to carry traffic between Australia and New Zealand and so are not reliant on connecting traffic from Dubai to fill up the flights. Also flying onwards to NZ saves the aircraft from being at parked in Australia all day

Do we know which of the planes in assembly are going to be 2 class ones ?
I was checking in the threads but....
Also it is not in any of the two production lists mentioned.
From the delivered ones only MSN 200, 201, 202, 203 are 2 class - i.e. A6-AOP, Q, R, S
Their use is not regular - for instance on the MAN + CPH route those are used exclusively, but on the BKK+KUL routes they are used in about 1/3 of flights.
Last week they never visited other place - only those four.
I was checking the use of 2 class 77W on DXB-PRG route and it is long time about 50% 2 class and 50% 3 class, so.... Here they have quite a lot of those. the difference is quite big - it is 8xF or 76 (!) x Y - i.e. one F takes place of 9,5Y !!!

We will see....but I do believe we will see similar operation as is now on BKK + KUL routes, one day this, next day that.......
