April 28, 2016, the China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Eastern") in Shanghai respectively with Boeing and Airbus signed a new generation of long-range wide body aircraft purchase agreement. China Eastern Airlines will introduce 15 Boeing 787-9 aircrafts and 20 Airbus A350-900 aircrafts.
