It might be a special livery that takes some time to either get a paint shop ready, either long time to get painted, either both?..

Everithing we know points to a special livery, or a special painting or decal feature, being applied in some paint shop outside TLS. There have been such cases before. Do you remember MH A380 paint job being completed outside TLS because a special paint was being used ?
While we don't know why a special treatment is required, I believe N° 100 to be a perfect suspect. MSN 232 could have been selected for the aircraft to have time to go back to the paint shop and be back before delivery.

A plane without company titles is usually an indication of long-term storage. Perhaps MSN 232 is one of the deferred A380s?

In my opinion msn 232 maybe be temporary leased to another airline (as 4 Latam a350 to Qatar AW).

In this case, the livery is recognisable enough, and there is no doubt EK is taking the plane, so why not complete the livery ?
