Long term storage I don't think they would have painted it white, they would have left it green and flown it to TLS and applied the long term brown coat. Many thanks spotterxfw for your pictures, really impressive to see it all white!

Everithing we know points to a special livery, or a special painting or decal feature, being applied in some paint shop outside TLS. There have been such cases before. Do you remember MH A380 paint job being completed outside TLS because a special paint was being used ? While we don't know why a special treatment is required, I believe N° 100 to be a perfect suspect. MSN 232 could have been selected for the aircraft to have time to go back to the paint shop and be back before delivery. To compare the first MH A380 to this EK-example is useless. Malaysia had a new livery, which was almost completed on delivery. The only thing it lacked was a few blue-striped-stickers. A week after delivery the aircraft returned from KUL to TLS to have them applied.

I don't understand why they would store a frame that's apparently already outfitted, ready for delivery, but still transfer other frames from TLS to XFW, for OF and delivery, and still rework other frames (MSN162 MSN167) for OF and delivery.........
Fathermore if it's stored at TLS, they'd hv better left it green and applied the brown coat at TLS?.....
