I don't understand that they buy the aircraft in normal air asia colours, and then repaint it just after delivery into a special livery... Sure, they want something special as its their fist neo... but why repaint it that quick? There could be many reasons. I don't think it's Airbus sticking blindly to contract specs, as Air Asia has the best relations with them. Air Asia may have come up with a new paint scheme at the last minute, too late for Airbus to take the changes into account. It could also be that a special type of paint was needed. Do you remember that MH A380s got a special final touch after delivery, because the paint they selected was on offer from one independant provider only ?

Taking the example of when TAM rebranded to LATAM, the earlier A350s were delivered in the TAM livery because Airbus required a significant lead time for a change in the livery. LATAM Group today announced that LAN and TAM will be merged into LATAM Airlines. This will happen next year, therefore the first A350s will have the current TAM livery. What they could have done though was given they were doing planning to do a special livery, they could have asked Airbus to paint the fuselage white (which I'd imagine shouldn't be too much of an ask and would require relatively little lead time) so they wouldn't have to remove that much paint when it came to painting the special livery on. I remember Boeing did this with one of Scoot's 787s that had a special livery. Of course, it could be explained by AirAsia deciding very late in the process to put the special livery on the aircraft.

One more possibility - those are only stickers to be removed later - to be present only for some period of time and than the regular livery will be once more in action ?

The below video shows the livery is a mix of stickers and paint although they had to sand down a bit of the previous livery (but it doesn't look as if they stripped off the old livery).
