Why stored?..... Waiting for engines ? Even though CFM has officially no problem, they may still struggle to ramp up ...

I don't understand that they buy the aircraft in normal air asia colours, and then repaint it just after delivery into a special livery... Sure, they want something special as its their fist neo... but why repaint it that quick?

Sure, they want something special as its their fist neo... but why repaint it that quick? Perhaps the re-paint had to be done at a location that was more convenient for AirAsia, by somebody who does their special livery etc. They can have it painted wherever they want. Having it painted at the Airbus assembly might just unnecessarily cue the paint hall of other planes that need to be painted and delivered now as well. I guess there could be numerous reasons.

Probably that first one, but even the paint scheme is covered in the purchase conctract. That why we saw A321's and A330's being delivered in the old US Airways livery for a couple of months after the merger was completed

Probably the contract was written and to change it would be more complicated than to repaint the plane later As we well know to procure all the paperwork for instance for the highway takes much longer than to build it !!!!
