Will this come through ? www.bbc.com/news/uk-34301689from the article.... Club Concorde, made up of former captains, charterers and aviation fans, says it has £120m in reserve for the "return to flight" plan. From other sources - AirFrance says OK, Airbus says strictly NO !

Please, use the official spelling, and correct the thread title by adding an'e' at the end of the aircraft name.

Quote from Wiki - "Reflecting the treaty between the British and French governments that led to Concorde's construction, the name Concorde is from the French word concorde (IPA: [kɔ̃kɔʁd]), which has an English equivalent, concord. Both words mean agreement, harmony or union"

That Concorde at Orly must have been outside for over 30 years, I remember seeing it in the late 80's, it might just fall apart if they tried to move it

That Concorde at Orly must have been outside for over 30 years, I remember seeing it in the late 80's, it might just fall apart if they tried to move it The one you saw at Orly was a prototype, never in service with AF (F-WTSA), still there with Musée Delta(?). For the rest of the AF fleet: F-WTSB and F-BVFC are in TLS. With this in mind :these will never fly again. F-BVFA in museum in Washington (Smithsonian), F-BVFB in museum in Germany (Sinnsheim), F-BTSD in museum in France (Le Bourget), these will remain there. F-BTSC crashed, F-BVFD broken up. That leaves F-BVFF which flew last Jun 11th, 2000. But to get it back in the air support from Airbus (Aerospatiale) is needed. It's not like restoring and flying a piston-driven DC-3 because of all the systems in a Concorde.

I am also almost sure it will never happen, interesting is they found enough "wealthy" people to be able to announce they have 120mil GBP - of course the question is if it is true.
We have some idea how expensive it was to put the VULCAN into operation, and it was maintained by the army almost until it was taken by the enthusiasts and had very low hours/cycles.
Also if they want to charter it they have to fix it at first - more complicated would be to come through with all the paper work.....
