I only know that Keflavik is often used for crosswind testing, but such testing has necessarily been performed long ago on the A400M ...

That would make sense, currently 31 knots from the east and the circuits were landing on the north/south runway. Crew training perhaps? Mind you any UK airport would have provided the same experience a few days ago....... JT

This kind of trials is probably the reason given by the Turkish air force to defer delivery of the first aircraft. They are probably entitled to wait until the aircraft has been fully tested.

Nice, strange they didn't do this long time ago.

The A400M can be used in a wide array of missions (transport, in-flight refueling, paratroop dropping ...) which all require specific tests. As the program struggled to meet delivery dates, they could not all be performed before the first deliveries to the French Air Force.
I think Airbus is now through that test program.
