"Nine aircraft would be the maximum to replace the A380."
Replacing 10 A380s by 9 A359s or 9 A339s doesn't really make sense, you'd have to choose the biggest twins offered, in that case then the -1000.

By using a smaller aircraft, you can trade volume for yield, and probably increase profitability. Anyway, Air France can place an existing 777-300ER on the former A380 routes

By using a smaller aircraft, you can trade volume for yield, and probably increase profitability. That's true if overall capacity on the routes you are flying decreases as a consequence of your new policy, but you can only guess how your competitors will react. If they provide more seats, the market price may not change. Anyway, Air France can place an existing 777-300ER on the former A380 routes If AF replaces A380s with the same number of A350s (even if they are A35Ks) or 77Ws, then they probably have low load factors on many routes.

Saw this on the Instagram of this pilot but couldn't find which frame it belongs to, any clue? Looks nice though.

Last I heard Ben Smith was pretty pissed about the cabin of the A350s so there may have been a few last minutes changes. I even think the Business class will be different starting from A350 #7 and that 6 frames might get refitted in a few years because of the Joon fiasco.

Another pic of the winglet! Great to see them adding some colour to it!

I still find it a bit odd that Air France are retiring their A380s but have not ordered 10 - 12 A350-1000s 🤔
