On January 16, 2017, Turkish Airlines Flight 6491, a Boeing 747-400F operated by ACT Airlines for Turkish Cargo, overshot the runway on landing in thick fog at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, crashed into a residential area, and caught fire. At least 16 people died, including the pilot and 15 residents of a village at the crash site.
