That would be quite a jump in capacity though hmm... not necessary as those 717 will be replaced by A220 and if they actually order MAX that might replace their NG fleet

First time posting in a while (I've been reading some of the posts though) as I've kinda taken a backseat and things in my personal life both good and bad have been the focus of my attention as of late. At any rate, I was listening to a town hall meeting this afternoon. When Ed Bastian made a remark about the Boeing CEO making an accusation that one of the US3 carriers would be gone in the future, Ed said it wasn't DL but did mention he reached out to the CEO of Boeing kind of as a heads up for an announcement in the coming days. Interpret that however you wish, but as soon as I heard it, I immediately thought of the rumored 737 MAX order. It seems far-fetched at first, especially given current events. However, it seems very clever of a move when you start to think about it.
