Boeing 737 Max cleared to fly again 'too early' By Theo Leggett Business correspondent, BBC News Published 8 hours ago www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55751150A former senior manager at Boeing's 737 plant in Seattle has raised new concerns over the safety of the company's 737 Max.
The aircraft, which was grounded after two accidents in which 346 people died, has already been cleared to resume flights in North America and Brazil, and is expected to gain approval in Europe this week.
But in a new report, Ed Pierson claims that further investigation of electrical issues and production quality problems at the 737 factory is badly needed.I wouldn't want to be regarded as a conspiracy theorist or generator of false news but this hit the BBC national news today so I simply report it to the forum.

EASA yet to approve 737 Max for certain precision approaches By David Kaminski-Morrow27 January 2021 737 Max www.flightglobal.com/air-transport/easa-yet-to-approve-737-max-for-certain-precision-approaches/142145.articleOperators of the Boeing 737 Max in Europe will be prohibited from conducting certain precision approaches until regulators are satisfied that the aircraft can maintain the necessary performance under specific failure conditions.
Interesting twist on what was announced today that EASA had approved the 737 Max - but without the restrictions mentioned!

That's the second one since the MAX started flying again. I think the 1st one was Air Canada?

The Air Canada one was just a ferry flight, no emergency declared I think.
