Will we have "terrible teens" with this one ? I just wonder......there was quite a few made very early..... Most likely not. There had been no reports on over weight aircraft and this isn't really a new plane either Let's hope  |

Boeing knows how to build 737s for sure. So there is not much room for error left.

Boeing knows how to build 737s for sure. So there is not much room for error left. That is a bold statement, there is always room for error. In this case there are quite a few other changes than only the engines, pylons and wings to accomodate the new engines and pylons. There is a change front landing gear. Aerodynamic changes all over the frame. The tail is reworked and there are split scimitar wingtips. There is scope for something regarding aerodynamics that could not work as supposed. |

True. But the 737 line being such a critical line for Boeing is within their main focus all the time already. They still are cautious as can be seen with the planned slow MAX ramp up.

if anyone is interested in buying one That seems to be a bit much for a loyal Boeing customer. IIRC, there have been others who've gotten 30-40% off, maybe even 50%. When you come to think of it, $90 million is close to a small widebody price! |
