It's a negociation, but unless the airline is in deep trouble I doubt Airbus is inclined to change an A359 deal for a A321neo one. If it was to order the A330neo, that would be different ...

With deliveries happening almost daily...the year end push has hit top gear....well at least 5th gear....it may hit 6 next week...
