Sure but with some bigger and existing MRTT you could carry your mission equipment and the fuel for long range missions and to fuel up your buddy guards flying with you. Or maybe drones and such.

If it carried mission equipment / operators (weight) and refuelled fighters, it would just be giving its own fuel up and reducing its own time on station.

I would LOVE to see "RNLAF looking at A330 some time..." *Never going to happen * I found this from 7 years ago 😀 Haha, well that one didn't age well Technically it doesn't say "Koninklijke Luchtmacht / Royal Netherlands Air force" on the side, but the unit is NL based and the aircraft are Dutch registered, so close enough
