loooked at MSn 248 and teh engines look grey, even though the airplane is almost entirely white. Finnair engines i think are white. what could e teh reason behind that? is it based on the lease/ purchase agreement with Rolls Royce?

That's just China Eastern's livery, the engines are light grey (I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out!) Does this favour the A350-1000ULR or has Joyce learnt that the 777-8 isn't turning out to be the highly capable frame many touted it to be?

Does this favour the A350-1000ULR or has Joyce learnt that the 777-8 isn't turning out to be the highly capable frame many touted it to be? The realization, that the 777-8 has limits, does make more favorable for the A350-1000.
